Wiltshire Marque makers scoop Great Taste awards

Eight of our Wiltshire Marque members have won prestigious awards from the international Great Taste award scheme, aimed at highlighting the best food and drink products and producers from around the world.
More than 14,300 products from across the globe were submitted to the renowned accreditation scheme, making it Great Taste’s biggest year yet, but only a third of those are recognised by the awards each year.
Several of our members won multiple awards, with Lyburn Farmhouse Cheesemakers earning the coveted three-star award – the highest award available – for their Old Winchester cheese.
- Lyburn Farmhouse Cheesemakers, Salisbury – Old Winchester (three stars), Stoney Cross (two stars)
- Utta Nutta, Salisbury – Original Peanut Butter (two stars), Cashew Nut Butter (two stars), Crunchy Peanut Butter (one star)
- Hollychocs, Devizes – Gingerbread Caramel (two stars)
- Roves Farm, Sevenhampton – Jumbo Ploughman’s Sausage Roll (two stars), Simply Scrumptious Sausages (one star)
- Downton Distillery, Salisbury – Great Bustard Gin (one star), Nocino (one star)

The awards are judged by 500 industry experts, from chefs and retailers to critics and writers, over the course of 110 days to ensure only the best products are rewarded. Each product is blind taste tested for a truly impartial review.
We’re thrilled to see so many of our members recognised alongside major producers like Waitrose, COOK and Aldi – after all, Wiltshire is the Maker’s County!
